Certificate Request Process

Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Our offices are closed to the public. To prevent the spread of coronavirus, all certificates will be posted, collection in person suspended until further notice.

All payments must be made by card.


Certificates fees are as follows:

  • Standard service £11.00 per certificate - issued within 15 working days.
  • Express service (when available) £35.00 per certificate - issued within 24 hours.   Please telephone 01267 228210 for the Statutory Priority service (not currently available for online ordering)

Once you have placed your order: 

  • For standard requests, providing we have all of the necessary information, we will contact you to collect payment.
  • Priority requests will be handled same day if made before 3.00 pm or the following day if made after.

Please note that incomplete requests and / or requests for family history searches may take longer and an additional search fee levied at £15.00 per hour may apply (up to a maximum 3 hours per search).

We will telephone you to collect a debit or credit card payment once your certificate reference has been located, or if you prefer, you can pay by cash at any one of our offices.  Please note that your caller display will read 'Unknown' or 'Withheld'. 

You may choose to have your certificate posted to your home address (no additional charge) or you can collect in person from our Carmarthen Office.  Personal identification (such as a driving licence) will be required for all collections.
